Worcestershire County Council School Food Awards 2007
We are very pleased to announce we have been awarded:
School Caterer of the Year 2007 & School Cook of the Year 2007 Class Catering have won awards in both categories from Worcestershire County Council. Our thanks to our cook Marge Davis, who’s efforts helped us secure School Caterer of the Year and Thanks to Julie Hinckley who won the School Cook of the Year.
In addition to these we also were awarded:
Category Finalist for Caterer of the Year and Category Finalist for Cook of the Year These awards recognised the skills and efforts of our Chef Andy Minchin and our Cook Michelle Downes. Fred Capewell Managing Director for Class catering said “ these awards are a fantastic result and recognise our attention to continuously improving the service and quality of our school meals service. Well done to everyone involved and our thanks to all our staff who continue to demonstrate their skill and flair in preparing high quality school meals.”
Finishing Touches Awards Class Catering had two entries at the Local Authority Caterers Association Annual Conference (LACA), who ran a static display so school chefs could showcase their craft skills. We are pleased to announce that our Cook Julie Hinckley won a Silver Award for her Decorated Novelty Cake, seen above right, it’s a school kitchen with staff, one of which has obviously worked to exhaustion to ensure the meals are perfect!
Our Chef Andy Minchin won a bronze award for his Cold Canapés entry. Pictured here Andy is pleased To Have won this Bronze Award which saw some stiff competition.
Congratulations to them both for their awards and our thanks for their commitment and time taken to enter the competitions. |
