Class Catering Services Ltd

From cooking to counter, freshly produced to ensure the best taste

THE PERSONAL TOUCH

Class Catering have always been proactive in the development of it’s services, we have  lead the way in providing healthy meals for children of all ages, we have a portfolio of events which demonstrate that Class Catering are at the vanguard of providing healthy enjoyable appetising meals, as an example in 2002 we introduced an “e” reduced menu where we removed some 27 artificial colourings or preservatives, considered to be most undesirable and here we are in 2007 with government guidelines instructing schools not to serve drinks with preservatives!! Well we certainly had a 5 year lead on that one!

All our Catering Managers have been trained on diet and nutrition, we instigated this first in 2004, before all the current regulations came into force, to support our approach to providing quality fresh home cooked dishes. Our staff are now taking further courses to refresh their knowledge on this important subject. Added to this we have our own in house training for Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and HACCP, ensuring our staff are equipped to provide the best service possible.

Class Catering is focused on the provision of high quality food prepared from fresh and, wherever possible, local ingredients and cooked as close to the service time as possible. We endorse the use of fresh herbs, home baking and as much seasonal produce as possible. Our Fresh produce

Supply chain ensure we get produce from local farms.

All our menus meet the current food based standards and, although not yet required, all recipes in our menus are analysed for nutrient content to enable us to reduce fat and salt content, it is our progressive rather than reactive approach that has ensured we are ahead of government standards in providing healthy meals.
